About Me

Aaron Bailey

I am currently a student at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA studying Mechanical Engineering. I have studied race cars and vehicle dynamics for the past few years and I designed the suspension for Cal Poly’s Formula SAE car. This car can perform better than any production car made! With this design experience, I have extensive car setup and suspension tuning experience. (www.formula.calpolysae.org)

In addition to school, I am certified as a driving instructor for Hooked on Driving. (www.hookedondriving.com)

Future

I am currently persuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a concentration in Race-car Vehicle Dynamics and fabrication. I’m looking to make a career out of driving; I can drive anything and everything that I am given the opportunity to.

Whether it be Formula cars, or heavy sedans, I think I have what it takes, I know I can drive, I just need the opportunities! I am a very marketable driver, with a lot to bring to a team. If you think you can assist me in achieving my goals, please contact me!

What’s New?

The Great Salt Race

Off to sandy Utah on Friday! Aaron will be racing in the Great Salt Race Double National at Miller Motorsports Park on the East track. “I am very excited to drive at Miller (Motorsports Park) for the first time”, said Aaron, “the track looks like a lot of fun, yet very challenging!” The race will take place on August 14 and 15, 2010. There is a race each day. With the championship points tight for the Northern Pacific Divisional Championship, Aaron has an opportunity to take the lead after this weekend!

Buttonwillow Raceway Double National Results

Unfortunately at the American Heart Association Double National, Aaron suffered internal engine failure during qualifying and was never able to complete a lap of the race. The team was disappointed, but will still hold on to second place in the Championship points in the Nor-Pac Division.
